ALL AT SEA – Supporting Kids in Need

Lindisfarne Media Release

ALL AT SEA is a contemporary, modern album reflective of the sounds of today’s youth. What makes this album extraordinary is that it was developed by the students and staff of Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School in support of the local Kids in Need Association.

Executive Producer and Director of Creative and Performance Arts at Lindisfarne, Mrs Charlotte Lush, said the creativity and talent of the students who produced this work is exceptional.

“These students have developed works of such a high calibre, which they recorded in the Lindisfarne Recording Studio with support of renowned Sydney based Producer Roger Lock. The tracks were then mixed and completed by Grammy Award winner Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Molino.”

The Lindisfarne Recording Studio was developed to allow the immense creative talent in our community to expand beyond the traditional boundaries of performance in a school environment, to have a facility like this in a school opens up a world of possibilities for the students, said Mrs Lush.

“These students have been able to capture their unique skills and abilities and work in partnership with leading industry engineers and professionals to take the next step from local performers, to recorded artists.”

The first single off the album ‘Stained Heart’ by Natasha Bitancurt is available for full download via Singles from the album will be released each week in the lead up to the launch on Saturday 14 May in the River Room at Twin Towns.

“The launch of the album on May 14 will include live performances of the tracks from ‘ALL AT SEA’ and every person in attendance will receive of copy of the album. The proceeds from the launch and the subsequent sale of the album will support the Kids in Need Association in their work of supporting children with disabilities and serious illness in our community, said Mrs Lush.”

Kids in Need President Mike Lawson was overwhelmed when approached to be involved in a project such as this.

“These young performers need to be applauded for their creative work, but to do so in support of other youths in this region who are disadvantaged, is what they truly need to be commended for. Kids in Need is proud to work in partnership on such an exciting project that will have a direct benefit in the local community” said Mr Lawson.
